LGBTQ+ Teachers Network (Scotland) is a forum to support educators across Scotland to be their authentic self in the workplace, making sure our voices are heard and supported and that we have a chance to increase knowledge and understanding of LGBTQ+ issues in schools. We are a network of educators across sectors.

What We Do

LGBTQ Crowd

Events 

Throughout the academic year we offer a variety of CPL events that has a focus on leadership and empowerment. Some are virtual and some will be in person. 

Storytime

Outreach

We offer a mentoring programme for LGBQT+ educators who want to support both professionally and personally for their career development

Advocacy

Advocacy is an essential pillar of our LGBTQ Social Movement. There is strength in numbers, and we work to inform and encourage others to take a stand for what they believe in. We engage in policy and reform.

2023 Pride Report 

The Lived Experiences of LGBTQ+ Teachers in Scotland 

For the first time a report has been created in capturing the lived experienced of 108 LGBTQ+ teachers across Scotland from all educational sectors (Early years, Primary, Secondary and beyond).

 

It has been launched on the 29th June 2023 as part of PRIDE Month.
